The MLX is an ultra-high-performance subwoofer with onboard amplification, DSP, and networking capabilities. Delivering over 150dB peak output at 1m, it is a subwoofer for large touring shows. Achieve best-in-class output levels by combining Hybrid ® horn/reflective load with IPAL drive amplifier technology. The hybrid load of two 18-inch (460mm) neodymium magnetic drive units perfectly balances low-frequency expansion with stunning bass. MLX speakers are designed to be suspended or stacked on the ground, and a combination of forward and backward speaker stacks can be configured as an array of subwoofers with directional characteristics. The audio setup of the MLX can be controlled box-by-box or as a full array via the VU-NET network with its intuitive graphical interface. The MLX's built-in Class D amplifier provides a total peak output of 8500W. Amplifiers, power and control electronics are housed in a field-replaceable fan cooling module designed to withstand a wide variety of environmental conditions (e.g. rain and high temperatures) common in live sound applications. The MLA System Hangers can suspend up to 15 MLXs.
